As the Medi-Cal Collections Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
·Timely hospital collections of the expected reimbursement for inpatient and outpatient receivables for Ronald Reagan UCLA Hospital and Santa Monica Hospital
·Preparing and submitting monthly payer escalation logs for cash acceleration purposes
·AR high dollar review
·Trending denial and resolving all issues as providing process of improving in collaboration with Billing Unit, Revenue Integrity, Coding, and Admissions
·Improving processes between Contracting, Reimbursement and the PBS departments
·Managing Contract Management issues in relation to payment variances
·Fixing problem areas that can decrease or hinder cash flow
·Making recommendations that improve technologies, processes, etc.
·Monitoring and controlling budget items that directly affect unit’s responsibility
·Managing the Contract Performance of third party payers
·Managing and training a staff of approximately a team of 14
·Maintaining the account escalation process for resolving difficult accounts
We are seeking a self-directed candidate with:
·A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, specifically in Hospital Medi-Cal Fee For Service and Medi-Cal Managed Care collections
·Excellent verbal and written communication
·Ability to track, trend, analyze payer data
·Ability to manage Government Denial claims
·Experience in managing Governmental audits in a timely and efficient manner
·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
