Understands the complexity of the PHSO provider population as needed to maintain a multitude of provider directories, rosters , TPA Tier 1 provider listing and various reporting needed for external customers
Supports PHSO data management by collecting and entering data needed for the Analytics Team
Solicits and incorporates input from peers, customers, and management for process improvements.
Adheres to quality standards and procedures based on internal standards
Participates in internal and/or external training programs, staying current and compliant on skills applicable to assigned duties
Responsible for attending various types of meetings at different campuses as required
Builds strong relationships with internal customers and peers. Communicates appropriately and effectively with internal customers, peers and supervisors, maintaining awareness of any issues, potential delays, and any situation of concern that may affect the productivity of supported programs, processes, and systems
Involved in problem-solving issues related to provider directory maintenance
Utilizes knowledge and understanding of provider data management applications used to support provider directories and other externally reported rosters
Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the Analytics department. Automatically looks for extra work as workload permits.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor's Degree OR a minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare or managed care organization
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of staff - executives and management as well as external contacts - consultants and physicians
Ability to conduct oneself professionally, maintain confidence and confidentiality, as well as integrity and objectivity
Aptitude for learning and utilizing software tools and applications
Written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented, with good organizational, follow-up, and computer skills
Ability to plan and monitor projects to completion
Ability to be self-motivated requiring negligible management supervision
Strong intellectual curiosity and motivation to master analytical skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to multi-task in a fast pace and demanding environment
Knowledge of Microsoft applications
The Data Specialist is responsible for engaging with internal teams at the Population Health Service Organization (PHSO) to support data entry of all provider and ancillary demographic data as well as other data required for reporting purposes within the PHSO. The Specialist also works to ensure the integrity, security, availability, effectiveness, and efficiency of provider data. Works and communicates under general direction of the Analytics executive and management team. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
