Referral Coordinator
Job DescriptionGeneral SummaryThe primary function of this position is to coordinate the referral process for the Practice and assure that the patients' needs are met in a timely and efficient manager. It is a required function to not only interact directly with the patients in making referrals, but physicians, managed care organizations and co-workers, ensuring that the referral process is precisely complete. This position requires informing practice support staff about referral protocols. This person oversees the paperwork associated with the referral process-from the referral forms to completion of the referral logs and submitting of the monthly reports.
