This position is responsible for the organization of services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients. Manages care by maintaining effective lines of communication with all concerned parties.

Responsible for overall operations, administration and management of orthopedic services.
Requirements:
Education/Skills
Master?s degree of Science in Nursing or another related field preferred
Trauma Outcomes Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC) upon hire.
American Trauma Society (ATS) Trauma Program Manager Course or the Texas Trauma Designation Education Course upon hire.
Completion of the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) course by AAAM upon hire.
ICD-10 course in trauma upon hire and every 5 years, thereafter (may be a refresher course).
Experience
Minimum two (2) years of experience in trauma patient care required.
Minimum two (2) years of healthcare leadership required.
Minimum two (2) years of trauma registry or data management required.
Working knowledge of CQI tools and techniques required.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
RN License in state of employment or compact
BLS required
ACLS required
ENPC or PALS required
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) required
