Credentialing Specialist
DescriptionSummary:Coordinates managed care credentialing and initiates file changes for new providers. Serves as administrator for credentialing system and assists practices with system issues. Updates NPPES files, credentialing database, and billing system with current provider numbers and practice information. Performs all functions in a courteous and professional manner. Requirements:High school diploma or GED. One year of credentialing experience preferred, accounts receivable experience in a health care organization; Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other managed care plan enrollment processes.Knowledge of medical software systems. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
